Don Mullen
Founder & CEO Pretium
Founded in 2012, Pretium is a leading alternative investment management firm with assets under management in excess of $54B. Pretium looks for shifts in the market driven by demographics, public policy or technology that lead to opportunities in residential or corporate credit. As CEO, Don is responsible for investment strategy, client engagement and strategic decisions regarding corporate direction. He also serves on the firm’s Executive Committee.
Prior to founding Pretium, Donald was a Partner at Goldman Sachs. He also held the role of Head of the Securities Division’s Global Credit and Mortgage business, and served on many of the firm’s committees, including the Management Committee, Firmwide Risk Committee and as chair of the Principal Investments Committee. Previously, he was a Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Credit at Bear Stearns, where he also served on the Board of Directors and Management and Compensation Committees.
Donald has held many board and advisory roles, and currently serves on the board of Friends of the High Line and on the Development Board of his alma mater, Yale University, where he earned a BA in Economics
