Since its foundation in 1998, Delancey has become a major player in the UK and Central London property market. The company advises its client funds and partners on an extensive and diverse portfolio of assets, which currently includes the award-winning East Village, built on the site of the 2012 Olympic Athletes’ village in East London, and the Alpha Plus Group of private schools.
Over the last two decades, Jamie and his management team at Delancey have overseen the purchase, development and sale of over £20bn of property and property-related investments. Delancey’s high-profile acquisitions include the £1.1bn takeover of Minerva PLC and, in 2019, the purchase of the Earl’s Court development site, comprising 25 acres of prime redevelopment land in west London.
Jamie’s career in property began in 1986 at Morgan Grenfell Laurie, the real estate arm of the investment bank Morgan Grenfell. He joined British Land Company as a Director in 1990 before founding Freehold Portfolio Estates which become part of Delancey in 1998.
In addition to his role at Delancey, Jamie Ritblat is a committed supporter of charities and arts organisations. He currently serves as a Commissioner at Historic England, and is a Trustee of the Heritage of London Trust and The Bathurst Estate. He also takes personal responsibility for Delancey’s comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility programme which supports art, culture, young people, education and mental health.
Jamie is a Non-Executive Chairman of Mitheridge Capital Management and a member of the International Advisory Board at Brown Advisory
