Nick Clarry

Nick Clarry joined CVC in 2003 and is head of Sports, Media & Entertainment for CVC globally, working alongside 30 country teams at CVC on investments in that vertical.
Led by its Managing Partners and majority owned by its employees, CVC is a private equity and investment advisory firm that manages funds for investors all over the world. Its success is driven by professional teams who have a thorough understanding of the specialised corporate environments in which they work.
Nick's first sports investment at CVC was Formula One, where he worked to institutionalise and globalise the sport and help it to achieve its full potential. The MotoGP investment & Formula One investment helped establish the concept of sports as an asset class for CVC.
As Head of Sports, Media & Entertainment, Nick has contributed to many large investments for CVC including La Liga, LFP (Ligue 1), Six Nations Rugby, Premiership Rugby, United Rugby Championship, Volleyball World, Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League, Stage Entertainment, SkyBet and Samsonite International among others.
CVC has a strong commitment to philanthropic work in its local communities around the world. Nick served on CVC’s Foundation Committee and has also sought to provide philanthropic support to several organisations in London over the last 20 years including Great Ormond Street Hospital, ZooNation, the British Film Institute, the Serpentine Galleries, and the Courtauld Institute. Nick served as Chair of The Old Vic Theatre Trust from 2014 to 2025. The Old Vic is one of the UK’s leading not-for-profit theatres, working in the arts, education and the community.
Prior to joining CVC, Nick spent 10 years in investment banking, primarily in the mergers and acquisitions departments at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
